Did you know that homeless animals outnumber homeless people 5 to 1? According to the U.S. humane society, there are roughly 70 million stray cats and dogs living in the U.S. and only six to eight million of these animals find their way into shelters each year. For the dogs that survive long enough to make it into a shelter, one HALF will be euthanized each year. Have you ever walked into a shelter and looked into the eyes of one of these poor souls? Don’t you wish they could speak to us like in the movie, “A dog’s purpose?” What would they say?
